Leaders of the Naga community in Manipur cannot point fingers at the Kuki-Zo while ignoring the blood on their own hands. More than 20 Kuki-Zo people have been killed by Naga armed groups.
If Naga leaders genuinely want peace and justice, accountability must apply to all parties. There can be no selective justice. Lasting peace can only come through accountability, coupled with a meaningful dialogue between the conflicting parties.
Stop painting peace when the ground bleeds‼️ It's smart PR to paint peace in Manipur - dangling cultural sparkle to mask the raw edges of a state still picking shrapnel from its wounds. On the ground everyone knows there is none. You can't distract a bleeding state with fairy lights because every rupee spent on an empty festival is a rupee stolen from people trying to stand again‼️
Approximately ₹15 crore has been allocated for the Sangai Festival in Manipur, yet these resources could have been redirected toward supporting the state's internally displaced persons (IDPs). While some might counter that separate funding exists for IDPs, the real question remains: Is it truly sufficient? Does providing just daily rations meet their basic needs? What drives the alarming rise in suicides among them? And crucially, what hope do they have for a stable future?
Home First, Festival Later‼️

Kuki mobs reportedly obstructed Manipur Police personnel arriving for duty at Sarangtampak, Chakpikarong subdivision in Chandel District, vandalizing their vehicles in a brazen act of lawlessness.
This alarming incident threatens the fragile peace slowly returning to the state after prolonged unrest.
Such violent activities not only undermine regional stability but also indicate that certain sections are intent on keeping Manipur in turmoil, seeking opportunities to deepen divisions among communities.
The Indian government must not take this situation lightly and should take exemplary action against those targeting law enforcement agencies. Swift and decisive measures are essential to send a clear message that such acts will not be tolerated.
All-out efforts must be made to restore order and ensure the hard-earned progress toward peace and normalcy is not derailed.

Manipur's "transformation" into a narco-state has rendered life untenable for the Meitei community, with escalating threats forcing many to flee ancestral homes. Kuki narco-terror outfits, thriving on extortion and blockade tactics, have hollowed out vibrant villages in districts like Churachandpur and Kangpokpi, leaving behind desolate ruins shrouded in opium haze.
Layered atop this are grave accusations linking the state's church institutions to entrenched drug cartels, where spiritual outreach allegedly masks deeper entanglements in the trade's underbelly.
For over three decades, sophisticated schemes have channeled opium smuggling from the Golden Triangle into the state's hill tracts, fueling a shadow economy that some apologists for the traffickers tout as a poverty-alleviating lifeline.
The haunting query is:

Here is the Photo showing Calvin Aikhenthang being caught by @Ccpur_Police on the night of 14th September. Commander of 27 Sector Tuibuang, Brigadier Prashanth rushed to the Police Station to rescue him. Why did the DC/SP let him go despite being caught with huge cache of arms?
To:
The Ministry of Home Affairs,
Government of India
And:
The Headquarters,
Assam Rifles
*Subject: Urgent Action Required Against Calvin Aikhenthang for Violating Suspension of Operations (SoO) Ground Rules.*
We are writing to bring to your immediate attention a serious breach of peace.
The individual name Mr. Calvin Aikhenthang, who is a SoO signatory of the Kuki National Organisation (KNO).
On the night of 14th September Mr. Aikhenthang, along with a group of armed individuals, entered Lamka(Churachandpur) District with the clear intent to cause chaos and disrupt the peaceful environment of Lamka Town. This act is a direct and flagrant violation of the terms of the SoO agreement ground rules and poses a significant threat to public safety and order.
This behavior is unacceptable and must be addressed without delay. Such actions undermine the progress made towards peace and stability in the region.
We urge the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Assam Rifles Headquarters to take immediate and decisive action against Calvin Aikhenthang. His actions demonstrate a blatant disregard for the agreement and the well-being of the community. Swift action will help to ensure the continued safety of the residents of Lamka District and reinforce the integrity of the peace process.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this critical matter.

Calvin Aikhenthang and German were caught by @Ccpur_Police with a huge cache of arms and ammunition a few minutes back. Will the SP and DC meddle and let them go free or will they take appropriate action? @manipur_police

Freedom of movement cannot be guaranteed by the GOI and its security forces along the Highways without the help of the Kuki Militants.
GOI extended the Suspension of Operation agreement inspite of several violations by the SoO cadres and protest from all quarters - and got this free movement guarantee from the militants - constitutional rights of the citizens used by the militants to bargain with the GOI and they succeeded. The Constitution works differently if at all in the state of Manipur.
Whatever it is, it is upto the people of Manipur to sort it out and bring out a formula to coexist peacefully. Anything imposed from GOI will not create peace - it will only widen the distance between the 2 communities.
It breaks my heart to see my state Manipur, a land of strength, fall into the grip of drugs. The shifting of the Golden Triangle towards India has brought a dangerous transformation, especially for my state. Manipur, once celebrated for its natural beauty and resilience, has now become a hotspot for poppy cultivation, fuelling a cycle of addiction and trafficking that threatens the youth of our nation and the very fabric of society.
Recognising this early, the BJP-led government launched a determined “War on Drugs.” The large-scale destruction of poppy fields and prosecution of offenders gave people hope that the menace could be curbed. Since its launch, the campaign has shown tremendous results, creating widespread awareness and instilling fear among those involved.
However, after the 3rd May 2023 incident, cartels exploited the reduced enforcement of the War on Drugs, and poppy cultivation spread once again across different parts of the hills. Recent photographs from villages in the adjoining forest areas of Kangpokpi and Ukhrul districts like Challengbung, Chingphei, Sangkai and Yoleng reveal the alarming scale of these operations.
This grave situation demands urgent intervention. I urge all authorities to confront this menace with an iron hand, and I call upon the national media to conduct ground surveys and let the world see what is really happening in Manipur.
The problem must be uprooted before it consumes all of us. Manipur cannot be left to fight this battle alone. It needs urgent and collective action to prevent irreversible damage and to achieve Nasha Mukt Bharat.
