When will Trump declare victory so the Strait can reopen? US inflation is visible every time someone passes a gas station, or eats. Higher inflation is being built into the economy and won't drop like a rock.
Remember the mid-terms?
Rename and reinstate JCPOA. Weapons laid down!
Raising cash. The Hormuz shock hasn't hit the US economy yet - only touching gasoline and diesel atm. When it does in a few weeks I expect a 10% pullback.
Best case forward for Trump to rescue the US consumer from inflation: declare victory, withdraw fleet in exchange for Hormuz reopening, stop Israeli attacks and expansion.
Does he have the courage to act?
@capnek123 It wasn't easy moving around PDAC this year. What's it going to be like at gold $8k?
I'm full of gold, uranium and copper.
Scouted some ignored metals that I'll be buying shortly.
In the next days we'll hear how the Trump admin forced uranium and gold prices down for a day or so. They don't have the resources to continue this through the weekend.
Fundamentals are the strongest in my lifetime. Buy on dips, as they always say. U could easily 4-5x in 4 years
Canada's Conservative Party takes another step towards the wilderness with the re-election of P. Poilievre, with 87% of the convention votes in Calgary.
Minimal eastern delegates, due to the distance, cold (they have enough already), and the simultaneous Ontario PC convention.
America-Nope has expanded in 2026. While Trump and friends insulted and derided the Rest-Of-World (Russia, Brazil, Argentina, and Israel excepted), tourism plunged.
Now trading relationship among the ROW are being negotiated and signed at a blistering pace.
Fewer markets for USA
@Geiger_Capital Sell America returns for 2026. The market multiple has far to drop. 10 year Treasury rates up. US$ down.
Setting the law via Truth Social? Really.
Once the market meddling shows up on the front pages it's impossible for investors not to react.
Buying PM and Emerging Markets.
Trump's proposal/order for credit card interest rates to be capped at 10% will send their consumer economy (70% of GDP) into a tailspin.
Banks need the profit from high rates to offset the defaults. They must dramatically cut back on credit availability to reduce risk.
@Rory_Johnston Isn't 10% of Alberta's heavy oil going to Gulf Refineries?
It's easily displaced by the Venezuelan crude that China can no longer buy.
Only 1/2 of that can go via TMX spare capacity. Railing the rest to Vancouver? - busy lines already. Maybe east to Montreal?
With Trump on a path to take over Venezuela and unlock their massive heavy oil reserves it is increasingly important for Canada to create more export paths to tidewater.
The $5-10 per barrel discounts to American buyers will disappear with more options - notably in the Far East.
Moments ago, Bloomberg asked Chris Wright, US Energy Secretary, about the deal with Canadian company Westinghouse on nuclear reactors. Wright said that Westinghouse is an American company. In truth, Brookfield (51%) and Cameco (49%) own it - both are Canadian, publicly-traded.
What did Trump gain from his meeting with Xi? A truce on rare earths. Xi got lower tariffs, access to Nvidia's best (via Huang), zeroed port fees, no impediment to buy Russian oil. China will buy soybeans again.
Xi wins.
Graphene Manufacturing Group has signed an agreement with Beijer_Ref, a major a/c wholesaler with operations in 40 countries, to use their unique coil coating. It improves efficiency by 20-30%, an astonishing breakthrough for this low-innovation industry.

@polan13 Cameco mgmt. correctly anticipated the cycle restart with their joint investment with Brookfield.
Still a lot of upside in this sector for many years, as ore production and enrichment far undershoots the soaring demand.
Good buys still in both.
Had a good interview with Dryden Gold mgmt., thanks to 121.
Excellent geology, geography and location NW ON Canada.
Only two years of drilling veins thus far. So accumulate on weakness with the inevitable raises, probably starting late 2026.
Great list of institutions own it.
