Like truck drivers, there is a SKILLED diesel tech shortage. (Skilled is the key word for both. We have plenty of dock bumpers and oil changers.)
👉65.5% of shops are understaffed, with 19.3% of tech positions unfilled.
👉Tech schools currently supply just 10k techs per year
👉61.8% of new diesel techs are hired W/O formal training
👉30% are unqualified in essential skill areas.
If you can't maintain and keep equipment running, the world stops.
