Greene pitched to a 6.83 ERA in just 5 starts this season after undergoing a different surgery in March to remove bone spurs in his right elbow.

Terry Francona tells Tommy Thrall on the pregame show that there’s always hope, but there’s “probably a slim chance” that Hunter Greene pitches again this season. They’ll have more info tonight after Greene gets his second opinion.
