@leonjooste_mpe@NamPresidency@Tjiurimo
Cde. Jooste, balance me real quickly before today's cabinet meeting. If you don't have all the answers now, I would appreciate it if you move this topic as a motion when the floor opens for AOB.
Thread 1/15
FISHCOR BOARD's FIDUCIARY DUTY
@DelieMoira54817@namibiansun Can you even phantom what we have lost and you multiply that by over 100 years, and you factor inflation x the opportunity cost to the families and to the countries economy, social contribution of each individual life lost, even before the psychological factor.
@Zuzu2016_@XFactor079 If there is any exploitation going on, it’s the other way around. Majority of our financial institutions, retailers including supermarkets are South African and we are leaking money going to SA on a daily basis, be it profits, Head Quarter related costs, outsourced services, etc.
@kingprominence@ourhermitage I watch a lot of football, boxing, mma, chess, golf, rugby, athletics, cricket, etc but I can’t quite seem to understand how you got to your assumption.
@namibiansun Why was he out there in the community after raping the mother. The poor child is a result of rape and now she too has a child from rape. Will the community and @ForceNampol only get serious when the idiot start raping the grandchild 15 years from now? It’s clearly a sick trend🤮
@NBCDigitalNews I am here is expecting the young people to debate bread and butter issues, now we are worried about missing springboks on the note.
The question should rather be, why did BON deemed it fit to incur costs of the new design? Why not increase your dividends to the shareholder???
@bongi_bongz@TheNamibian Run the stores dry, create a fake emergency, circumvent the tender process, inflate the prices by 10, then get rich over night. Not exactly rocket science.
@Tjaronda@TheNamibian The syndicate has always been running the stores dry to create an emergency so as to avoid the open bid tendering process. We are not dom.
@wov3nn Mortgage rates, formula and laws needs urgent reform and anyone who argues otherwise, either does not understand how it works or is one of the capitalist.
I was laughing at the “pension backed home loan scheme” they are forcing the other day. The focus should rather be reform.
@wov3nn Totally agree with you on avoiding peer and family pressure as well the debt part, but just wanted to highlight that this is entirely circumstantial and for some people it would be worth it. Not always worth prioritizing over other immediate financial needs though.
@wov3nn I know people getting drained by black tax because they are still in the family house. I have also come across those that spent the last bit of their retirement cash in building a village house (not improving but starting).
@OnlyTheZilla@namibiansun Because you don’t hear the other races’ cases.
Corruption is not racial.
If you were exposed to the other people’s transactions and inner dealings you would say they are more corrupt.
I have seen both and I will tell you, this is a morality & integrity issue not racial.
@Dilukeni Cde. Counsel, between Rent Control Board and Mortgage Interest Rates reform, which takes precedence and which will bring about true economical emancipation?
E.g I am paying an astronomical & ridiculous amount on my mortgage, the rental price thereof is meant to recoup this cost.
