Been slowly working back into selling options. After some time to reflect and refine I’m back.

Today with all the war news I decided to sell call spreads because it rejected PDH & PMH.

Once it broke under the 200 day EMA and looking at the expected move I shorted 8 contracts.

@cs_tradess I just can't catch a break with SPY lately. 3 days in row. SPY has been above PMH, PDH and it just has failed the breakouts. I'm so frustrated with trading. I'm about to give up.

Once it broke under the PML I went puts. Caught the move down. Again, I sold off too early. An extra 5 minutes would have made this 1K.

Need to work on my entry. I went in 5 minutes too early.

Overall right idea I would rate myself a B+ on today’s performance. Using 1 DTE.

Been trying 1 DTE. 0 DTE move way too fast for me. Only used $550 for this trade so not a bad 45-50%.

As much as I like 0 DTE I just can’t handle the volatility and how fast they move and theta decay. Yes they have big gains but also big losses if you can’t stop out fast.

@BullTradeFinder @B_A_M_S_ I envy your discipline. I've taken too many. Which I'm trying to not do. Also, thanks for answering. One last thing is about sizing. I tend to get nervous since the losses get bigger but it seems like it doesn't bother you b/c you try to just play the probabilities I assume?

@BullTradeFinder @B_A_M_S_ If I set a stop loss I definitely wouldn’t have taken those max loss days. I always thought I could do it manually but I honestly can’t. I was thinking 150% so if I’m 10 contracts on 50 dollar premiums the most I’d lose is $750? Or is that too tight

@BullTradeFinder @B_A_M_S_ Hmm okay. Do you just set the stop loss and leave it so you can go about your day? How did you get over the idea that it might come back because I see you trade really far OTM as well
