Free agent sharpshooter Luke Kennard has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Phoenix Suns, with a player option for the second season, sources tell ESPN.
thoughts on Luke Kennard:
heโs always going to be a high % 3P shooter. but some part of that is that he doesnโt take nearly enough as he should. has never averaged more than 7 3PA (4 for his career)
this postseason was a breakout. I am always wary about those in contract years. he has only averaged 10+ ppg 3 times in his career vs Allen/Sexton that will always give you closer to 15 a night. he often disappears because heโs simply not aggressive enough.
reminds me of Suns Shamet. heโd always give you a few threes and keep the percentages up, but there were many nights where he didnโt feel impactful on that end. at least heโs a plus defender.
LK gives you a different offensive dynamic than Sexton as a pure/movement shooter, and I get thatโs important. But I worry about the consistency, and what heโs giving you if heโs not shooting the ball.
I donโt worry about that with Sexton, because he will always make his presence felt, and heโs no slouch as a shooter.
Free agent guard Collin Gillespie intends to sign a four-year, $48 million deal to return to the Phoenix Suns, sources tell ESPN. Gillespie spent three straight seasons on two-way contracts after going undrafted out of Villanova in 2022 and now earns a lucrative long-term deal.

Gonna be honest, think it's way more simple that Tyler Ford is a bad official and shouldn't be refereeing a Finals game. See: the NBPA's tier list of officials from back in May. https://t.co/y7XCg4f83k
