Rwanda plans to establish a logistics hub at the Mai Mahiu Special Economic Zone in Naivasha to speed up cargo transportation from the Port of Mombasa via the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR).

The project comes as investor interest in the industrial park rises to 24, up from 15 earlier in 2026. The SEZ Authority expects cargo handling at Mombasa to grow from 15 million to 40 million metric tonnes annually within five years.

In Eldoret, Defence is supervising construction of a new Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital - a 2000 bed Hospital complex. It will be the biggest hospital not only in Kenya, but the entire region. This is phase 1. And this phase has already started with a completion deadline of next year.

Phase 2 of another 2000 bed will kick off soon.

In total we shall have a 4000 bed hospital complex. The biggest such facility in Africa!
