During Literacy time, we drew characters and scenes from our favorite novels on envelopes for our Valentine exchange!

We used Lego Digital Design to bring our creations to life after researching natural resources, climate and environment of our countries of study.

We practiced reading fluently to our Kindergarten buddies by picking less challenging and more familiar books!

Big things happening today for our inquiry project! We began the week by trying to answer the question "how to communities around the world depend on bridges" and figuring out the wants and needs of the community we are researching. Now we are making our first prototype!

Can you build a bridge out of 3D shapes, that spans a gap of at least 6 inches and supports 6 bears? #STEM #inquiry

We are reading our novel study books! This is a favorite part of the day in grade 3. We are focusing on storyline this week!

Grade 3's were given a type of bridge and asked to build it using what ever materials they could find! Check out our awesome truss, suspension, beam and arch bridges!

We are almost finished the Art element of our Valentines for the Children's Hospital! We have been working hard with our Kindergarten buddies on this empathy project.
