Hey Everyone, check out our latest blog post to see how much we are missing you and how we are ensuring we are staying a safe distance from each other!

What do you know about what you do well? What do you require for your learning? This “understanding myself as a learner” task has been an absolute blast! Stay tuned for our upcoming book...
What makes an event significant? Students sorted major events from last year and co-developed criteria. We also used guiding questions from iris to begin thinking about ideal learning spaces that we’ll craft later in the week!
Grade 6 students began their space coding project while the 5s shared personal stories that are ‘significant’. Students also explored place value and played around with really large numbers!
The 5s used our anemometers to measure wind speed around the school. The 6s examined data to create a double bar graph showing how much daylight we have throughout the year.
Students learned about air movement in out troposphere through a demonstration of heating and cooling fluids. We also used the magic planet to inspire the 6s in their upcoming study of the solar system!
Feedback Friday went home today! Please take some time to review your child's writing in IRIS. Leave them a comment so you can be part of the conversation, too!
The students in grade 5/6 studied effective instructions and built a number of stations for the students across our school to use at lunch today. We sure have some great leaders in room 107!
The students didn’t miss a beat! We jumped back into cloud guides and Athenian democracy- we also explored types of flight and learned to tell stories in scratch!

Hungry Hingry Hippis got a bit intense this morning... We also finished up some research for the airplane contest tomorrow and read a bit further in the Giver - which we’ll watch parts of tomorrow pm... it’s going to be a great day :)
What does a classroom look like mid day when the kids run off for lunch?? Today was an active day of learning - the students examined symbols of Athens, the CPR, clouds (Weather forecasting “Pocket Guides” have started), and expressions versus pattern rules in math!
A beautiful day of learning. Students used loose parts to reflect on their learning. Next, we build out artist statements to support our conversations!
Hello Parents! For Feedback Friday, students went home with the books they have created - they are eager to share their work with you! Please help them remember to bring them back on Monday, we need them for our upcoming learning! Have an outstanding weekend!
