Just had my fantasy football draft, and I actively avoided players with recent ACL injuries…
I wish them well and am genuinely rooting for them, for obvious reasons. But I also don’t want them anywhere near my football team, also for obvious reasons.

Every now and then I think of the time years ago at the Thanksgiving table that I excitedly gazed at the creamed corn and, with a giant smile, started to take a scoop before realizing that it was, in fact, gravy and there was no creamed corn that year.
