📝Twelve years ago… I predicted the fall of Syria in a video titled “If Syria gives up chemical weapons we lose the war.”

I could see all that was to come, the US invasion of Syria, the increase strikes due to a lack of deterrence and eventually fall with Syria being left defenceless. I was so angry, i was so angry. I saw it as a betrayal from every direction, including an internal betrayal. You have no allies but your weapons or so the philosophy goes, akin to the saying “Russia has two allies, its army and its navy”.

A day prior to the Syrian state agreeing to the Russian-US brokered deal. I told one of the “revolutionaries” who was excited about Obama’s strikes on Assad what a fool he was. I could see a betrayal was coming to him too. “They just want to take the weapons, for Israel’s safety , they don’t care about you” I said. Indeed he was very disappointed that it was just as I said it would. Assad remained another ten years after that. But regardless , that day our fate was sealed.

I have the curse of Cassandra. It has been the most painful and frustrating thing.
