Outreach Street Team in Bristol supporting our homeless community. Providing essentials and care. Thursday's 7pm, College Green. Donations always needed.
Whilst weβve been working with amazing local charities throughout COVID to support where we can, last week was our first week back as a full Roots team. We were at Champions Square again tonight serving hot meals and drinks. Itβs good to be back! Thank you to our volunteers π
Constituents have been asking how to volunteer to help residents dealing with #COVID19 across Bristol NW. Weβre just figuring out how best to do that, but in the mean time, you can register your interest here: https://t.co/mStMRofGer
Something heartwarming for a dreary Sunday π
One of our service users has recently been taking huge steps on the road to recovery. We are so proud of his strength and hope that this is the beginning of a journey to him being permanently off the streets. So proud! π
Wow, highlight of the night tonight was definitely having @eddiestreetcuts come down and give some lovely haircuts to our ladies and gents ππ»ββοΈ
Thank you so much to Eddie's Street Cuts and to everyone else who made tonight possible! π
Our Easter Egg appeal is running again this year π£
We are aiming to collect around 100 eggs to hand out to our service users on the 9th April!
We're after standard supermarket size eggs which tend to come in a box with 2 choccie bars - please get in touch to support π
Please nominate us!
@Ecclesiastical Insurance are giving 10 charities the chance to win Β£1,000! Please follow the link and nominate Roots using our charity number 1185783.
The more nominations the better chance we'll get, so please share!

After petitioning in the city centre yesterday it was believed we had received all the signatures needed for a full council debate. However we've not received any confirmation, so to play it safe, PLEASE KEEP SHARING - the deadline is midnight tonight. https://t.co/KvrulMRy2V
2) Since starting his campaign Paul has received support from @RootsStreetTeam, @caringinbristol @QuakerHomeless and @crisiscentre who all see the need for more support for people who are homeless in our community. Please sign here: https://t.co/MUmosBM6FR
8 months of incredible generosity, passion and community spirit.
8 months of collecting, sorting, sharing and giving.
8 months of laughter and tears.
8 months of friendship and connections.
8 months of doing what we do best - providing much more than a hot meal.

Thanks to Cllr Gary Hopkins of @BristolLibDems for meeting with me today to discuss how he/the party can support my #RightToShelter campaign. Looking forward to other council party leaders doing the same. #homelessness#bristol
