This picture was taken on a very warm day. Despite the heat the Queen took the time to say a few words to everyone in a very, very long line. Her sense of duty kept a 96 year old working right to the very end.

Wonderful to attend the unveiling yday. Whilst we can’t ignore the woeful response to the recent Windrush scandal, the monument will remind us all of the major role the Windrush generation played in rebuilding the UK and the many contributions of the Caribbean community.
