If Berkeley can do it, so can DC. But we need your help!
What moved the needle in Berkeley was constant advocacy from people who lived there. Go to our website (link below) and sign up to our mailing list.
Lot of good stuff in here but @OPinDC needs to fast track the map amendment for this area. Tell them to upzone RIA and allow for more housing in this corridor!
@mattbarrows If you had to guess, how much would you say that teams adapting to Kyle Shanahan's scheme has resulted in red-zone trouble and problems with third down pressure vs. missing talented players? Despite the penalties on Sunday, the 49ers still seem to put up a lot of yards overall.
A lot of people are looking to make a difference right now. One way you can help is to get involved locally. One of DC's biggest problems is that it's really expensive to live here. We need to build more housing to lower prices. Join us and be part of the solution!👇
Thank you for joining me today, @RoryOSully! Meeting neighbors and having 1:1 conversations is the best way to maintain community.
I am very thankful to everyone who's opened their door to chat and share their vision for the neighborhood!
Had some great conversations with neighbors door knocking with @dcyimbys endorsed @Monica4ANC today! Lots of support for attainable housing, safe streets, and inclusive communities.
Great win @studentlegalnet "...the case is significant because it relies on a theory of racial discrimination known as “reverse redlining” to argue that the school violated Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act." https://t.co/YO2i0kJXaG
We're excited to announce our ANC endorsements for 2024! Check out our website 👇 to see who DC YIMBYs is endorsing. These folks can make a huge impact in making their communities dense, walkable, welcoming places.
Also, a special Shadow Senator endorsement for @ankitjaindc!
We're so excited for our endorsees we're celebrating them with a happy hour @metrobardc! Come out September 18 to meet our ANC candidates and future Shadow Senator @ankitjaindc!

In the first half of this year, DC has permitted fewer than 600 total units of new housing, the worst pace since the Great Recession. The city desperately needs to allow more construction unless it wants affordability problems to worsen.
Want to get drinks with some fellow YIMBYs? Join us at @metrobardc on Wednesday to talk about urbanism, walkable neighborhoods, and supporting pro-housing elected officials in DC. RSVP here: https://t.co/ulC4JVuWLn
This lack of candidates for important local elected offices is not unique to Ward 4. We need ANCs all over the city!
If you're interested in running, reach out and/or read this: https://t.co/2Bn93NMvhZ
The DC Zoning Commission voted to approve the proposed map amendment in Case 23–02, to rezone the police and fire station sites at 1617 U St. to MU-10, applying IZ Plus.
Incredible project. We can do this in DC, too.
The Chevy Chase Civic Site redevelopment would create a new library and civic center, outdoor gathering spaces, and new housing (at least 30 percent affordable) in an area that desperately needs it.

One day left until you can file to run for ANC. Learn more about how impactful the position is and sign up for @ggwash's training here: https://t.co/AUe5JcvPi6
We have 345 separate ANC seats all up for grabs across the 8 wards on November 5 and the vast majority of these will either go uncontested or have no one file to run. We need good people to run in these volunteer roles who are willing to do the work and not block good things!
