The cordial discussion reflected on shared priorities, including police modernisation and reform, strengthening community policing, protecting human rights, and promoting the mental well-being of police personnel.
Honoured to pay a farewell call on Hon’ble Prime Minister @trahmanbnp as I near the end of my 4-year tenure in Bangladesh.
Since 1972, @UNDP has stood alongside #Bangladesh 🇧🇩 as a trusted development partner, evolving its work with the development priorities of successive governments and the aspirations of its people.
What has stood out most to me is the breadth of this partnership - supporting national priorities at the highest levels of leadership, while remaining closely connected to communities across the country.
At the Judicial Leadership Colloquium (02–03 May), organised by @UNDP Bangladesh and the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, women judges came together to call for stronger representation in leadership and decision-making across the judiciary.

Last year, we worked with @UNDP_BD to facilitate reform efforts including through peer-exchanges on truth and reconciliation in South Africa for two high-level official delegations from Bangladesh.

The Regional Convening on Women's Judicial Leadership kicked off in 🇹🇭, bringing together women judges from across Asia to deepen cross-regional exchange, foster regional solidarity, and amplify women’s voices in justice sector reform. The event highlights key regional research on barriers and motivations to women’s leadership in the judiciary, co-designs a Women’s Leadership Network to strengthen collaboration, and sets out a roadmap for future judicial capacity-building. #WomenInJustice
