@AndrewBaydala@JonAlba Friday nights on USA immediately after Smackdown sounds ideal. Could also go the Paramount route to deepen those ties and may be squeeze AEW if that’s a thought. Could go right to Peacock, which could shoulder up the brand with Telemundo too. Interested to see how this plays out.
@jimmyvan I imagine AEW gets renewed as well. May not be for what they want/could get though. WWE’s rights are a tad further other out so it could just be bad timing. Maybe TKO gets creative & brings something to market that they want PARA to have, thus having to choose between them & AEW.
A different room of writers puts LSU over for exactly these reasons. Keep the heel steamed up, let ‘em run roughshod over everybody and build toward the hero we need, emerging triumphantly.
Instead, they threw cold water all over this in the first act.
Who booked this shit?
@WrestlingNewsCo The most likely scenario is they strike deals with Roku, Google Play, Amazon Fire etc. to license content to each for them to create FAST channels for WWE on their operating systems.
@DirtyDomDom Treat NXT like a centralized promotion. A “super indie” of sorts. The best of the indies, rotations of AAA, select talents from TNA and other partner companies. And…a consistent dose of RAW & Smackdown talent. With the occasional tippy top guy appearance from priority shows.
@JDfromNY206 Even if it doesn’t “lead something and has a follow-up…” however that’s defined, it messages to the audience ever so occasionally that buying a ticket to come to a WWE event when they come to your town is worth it for moments like that, even if it’s not gonna be on TV.
Heyman could be on the phone with Lane Kiffin, Dajean Love, RFK Jr. or even ChatGPT for all I care. But one thing I do know: it definitely won’t be Pat McAfee. He’s retired. And we all know retirements are sacred and permanent in wrestling.
If ya smell what I’m cookin’…
