Napoleon, Alexander, Hitler, and Lee are excellent examples of geniuses of such high caliber that they managed to bring others with them and make their brains digestible and appealing to the people they commanded.

Yes, their military and political tact know no peers than each other. But it was how they raised each man to feel like they had a share in those conquests and a vested interest in supporting each great man that separates them from one like Belisarius.

I know more than you about history and ww2 than you, lol. World War 2 wasn’t nearly as stressful since artillery bombardment wasn’t nearly as constant. It’s that simple.

Obviously campaigns culminating in extreme violence like Blau or Ichi Go were stressful but it’s impossible to quantify. Also basically every nation’s army was a volunteer force until like 1944 which matters a lot

There were long periods of little action on any given front. It was deadlier sure but most of those deaths were just Chinese civilians and Soviet partisans being retarded and easy to kill lol
