Saddened to hear about Raymond Briggs’ passing. When The Wind Blows is one of the most realistic and harrowing depictions of the effects of war on ‘normal’ people. I read it as a child and still have some scenes burned into my brain. The man was a master storyteller. RIP

This is kind of random but public libraries are so important to me. I could go even far as to say it changed my young adult life. Library was a place to get away from unhappy home, get lost for hours in all the books, graphic novels, magazines, cd’s, etc. The summer reading

When I'm working from home, I like to have meetings with my dog about projects I'm leading. I pretend she's giving me encouragement and that she thinks I'm doing an amazing job. Weirdly it really helps and I've just gotten a work award for performance.
