President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved road projects worth 902.5 billion across the five geopolitical regions of Oyo State.
But that's not even the real gist.
Out of the 3.9 trillion approved for road infrastructure nationwide, Oyo State alone secured 902.5 billion, almost a quarter of the total allocation.
Lessons.
My heart is deeply heavy over the painful killings and abductions happening in Oyo State and across different parts of Nigeria.
As someone with strong ties to Oyo State through family, culture and love for the people, this tragedy feels very personal to me. It is heartbreaking to see innocent lives lost, families thrown into mourning, children living in fear and communities traumatized by violence.
I mourn especially with the families of the victims, the parents whose children were taken, and everyone affected by the recent attacks in Oriire Local Government and other parts of the state. No Nigerian deserves to live in fear. No child should be afraid to go to school. No family should wake up to news of violence and bloodshed.
I want to sincerely commend the efforts of the security agencies and the Oyo State Government but it is important to appeal for more urgent and decisive actions to secure the release of those still in captivity and strengthen the protection of lives and communities. And please, what is the state government doing to prevent future occurrence?
Nigeria belongs to all of us, and this is a time for unity, compassion and collective responsibility. We cannot normalize violence. We must continue to speak up, support one another and pray for peace to return to our land.
May God comfort every grieving family, heal our nation and protect every innocent life.

During the 2023 election season, I went on Agidigbo FM 88.7, warning Nigerians and particularly Yorubas about the disaster Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialabat would bring upon the country. Sadly, many refused to listen. I was also on Miliki 101.3FM in Lagos, saying the same thing, but callers kept phoning in telling me to shut up.
Now look at what “Emilokan” has done to you all. Tinubu is a disaster! #RevolutionNow
NB: The photo here is reportedly that of the mathematics teacher pleading for his life after bandits raided a secondary school in Oyo state and abducted and several others him before later beheading him.
In 1993, majority of the Senators wanted TINUBU to be the Senate President. Jagaban was already cruising to victory. However, this would affect MKO Abiola because they both came from the SW. Abiola wanted to run for President of Nigeria. Best option for Tinubu was to support Abiola's rival Kingibe in the primary election, Kingibe a northerner from the NE would be the political answer to Tinubu’s Senate Presidency.
But Tinubu chose to back MKO Abiola and jettison his own ambition so that he would not be the hindrance to Abiola's ambition which was of larger value. Therefore, Tinubu stepped down from running just like he did for Buhari in 2014-2015 and also for Osinbajo thereafter. It is always easy for Tinubu to sacrifice his personal ambition for the larger Group ambition. In 1993, Tinubu became Chairman Senate Committee on Appropriation and Finance. He supported Abiola to victory. Abiola won. And when Abiola's election was annulled by the Military, Tinubu stood firm till the end! He also ensured that the government he helped to install many years after immortalised Abiola and June 12!
In 2014, Tinubu repeated same, this time around for Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari had given up openly on politics, having wept before the cameras because of the frustration he got from multiple electoral defeats. Tinubu travelled from Lagos to Kaduna to meet Buhari and both formed alliance. That alliance saw Tinubu, the strongest politician and tactician in the alliance sacrificed all his numerous personal ambitions and gave Buhari, APC his ALL. That sacrifice almost ended his political career but JAGABAN is a man of strength, faith and conviction. When everyone in the political cycle was looking at him as a goner, he was starring Victory in its face. Tinubu’s eyes dont see defeat, never!
Now, a thrift that Tinubu made in 1993 was collected with interest by him in 2023 when Gbajabiamila also decided to jettison his own speakership for Tinubu’s Presidency. Lawan, a northerner from the NE would have been his bet had it been that Gbajabiamila is a selfish politician. But as a son of the JAGABAN, he cannot behave less. He acted exactly like his political father.
The hallmark of party politics is SACRIFICE, and this is exactly what is lacking among the politicians today. They want to be like TINUBU but they hate to sacrifice their ambitions for the time being!
Good Afternoon to All Progressives Only ❤️
