Our Workforce Development team recently held a focus group to hear directly from guests about which supports are most useful for them in reaching their career goals. We provide our guests with access to opportunity as well as the tools to pursue their own pathway to stability.
On this day, eight years ago, a memorial to the life and legacy of our founder, Kip Tiernan, was unveiled on Dartmouth Street in Boston. The memorial is a testament to Kip’s fierce advocacy for poor and homeless women and tireless fight to provide them with opportunity and hope.

Early detection can make a world of difference in treating cancer. That’s why we are so grateful for our partner Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, whose Cancer Screening Patient Navigator regularly visits Rosie’s Place to provide vital screenings.

Our Workforce Development team recently wrapped up the latest session of the Basic Computer Skills course. Over five weeks, students learned vital skills that will help them access support, resources and opportunity.
One of the four major dimensions of recovery, according to @samhsagov is community. Each week, guests attend groups including the Connect Café, Mindfulness and Journaling Club where they can build community and the supports they need.

In our Women's Education Center, students learn crucial English language skills that help them better navigate the world around them and open doors to opportunities including employment, housing and more. In the past year, we welcomed 340 students from around the world.
Today, our Behavioral Health team convened on Boston Common for @MoarRecovery Day to honor recovery and the people who make it possible. The day marks MOAR's 36th Recovery Day celebrating "the beauty, strength, and power of recovery in all of its forms and pathways."
With one in three adults in the Commonwealth food insecure, our Dining Room has never been busier. In the past year, we served nearly 230,000 meals—a record high. We are grateful for the support of our friends that enables us to grow to meet the growing needs of our community.
