If you start with music, but you feel it could be for a long time, and you're sure that you will change your style from time to time, a name like "Body Project" would be a problem. We started as a "Electronic Body Music"- Band, and the name "Project" would suggest, that we are not a real Band. So we decided to search for a better name, wich reminds you on NOTHING. So with "AND ONE", you can make more styles without a disturbing name.

An extreme example:

Bandname: "Sugar Ray"
This is arguably the most extreme case of a 'name no longer fitting the sound.'

The Origins: They started out as a heavy funk-metal and nu-metal band. The name 'Sugar Ray' (a nod to the legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard) suggested punch, aggression, and toughness.

The Break: In 1997, they released the laid-back, sun-drenched pop anthem 'Fly.'

The Aftermath: The song became so gargantuan that the band completely abandoned their heavy sound. Suddenly, a band named after a world-champion boxer was making breezy 'beach-vibe pop.' The original fanbase was left confused, while new fans expected nothing but feel-good radio pop."
