Jared Goff before playing the Vikings with a DEPLETED O line all season:
2nd in TDs
3rd in YDs
5th in CMP %
5th in INT
3rd in RTG
I can’t believe we are acting like this guy sucks.
Because the Lions are playing a backup left tackle, a left guard that just got back from being out with an injury for over a month, and a center playing his second NFL game
A buddy of mine pointed out today that losing LaPorta disrupted everything and made covering for the OL deficiencies impossible, and I think he’s 100% right.
OL really fell apart when LaPorta went down.
Yea, he threw the ball 54 times. Why? Because the run game was horrible.
Yes, the Lions had -3 yards in Q3, but they possessed the ball ONE TIME because of the defense. That one drive came with THEIR THIRD STRING CENTER.
If you’re blaming Goff, you’re flat out wrong.
There's zeronreason to move on from any of them.
They went to the NFCC game in a season that everyone thought they'd compete for the division.
Then they 15-2 riddled with injuries that finally caught up to then.
This year has been a transition year with tons of changes.
Disappointed? Yes.
Fire everyone? No
Especially not the guys that brought 2 division titles and playoff wins for the 1st time in 30 yrs
