@Baerenreiter Morlacchi wrote a Barber of Seville in 1815 (to the old libretto used by Paisiello) the year before Rossini's. There's a recording (seems to be on YouTube).

@AnnaBonitatibus Absolutely agree. Everyone is being bombarded with music they don't want to hear. People already listening to music through earphones have to turn their volume up to drown it out, leading to hearing loss.
