Cihan's fear of losing what he loves stems from the day he lost his father, his wedding was ruined, Meryem left, and Boran became a killer.

In other words, the first bloody wedding. But here's the thing. If on that day, that bloodshed hadn't happened the way it did, Cihan would never have met and married Alya.

He wouldn't have known his true love was somewhere out there in the world, searching for him, feeling just as incomplete without him.

What happened that day was painful, yes. But it was necessary.

That day saved Cihan from a mediocre match he thought was love. It crowned him the Aǧa of his tribe. And it paved the way for Alya to find his way to him.

Fate has never been against CihAl in this story. If anything, it's always worked to protect them and bring them together.

When Alya refuses to give in to Cihan's condition, it's Deniz who forces her to agree to marrying Cihan. When Cihan is about to relent and send Alya away with Deniz, Boran's will finds its way to him.

This pattern repeats over and over in the story. Until we find our way to the second bloody wedding Albora witnesses.

Alya leaves. Şahin and Boran d-word. Cihan is devastated. But, had Alya and Deniz been at the meydan on that day, it could have been Alya taking a bullet for Cihan and dying.

Deniz would have been scarred seeing Boran d-word. Things could have gone much much worse. CihAl could have faced a permanent separation rather than a temporary one.

So, we see fate work in favor of CihAl once again. Feyyaz is gone. Boran with his dark evil has been eliminated. Sadakat has been humbled.

And Meryem finally faced a taste of the danger she unleashed on Cihan by tricking him by hiding that letter.

Şahin's sacrifice saves Cihan's life in order for him to live for his loved ones.

For all the pain this finale leaves behind, it also clears the board in a way nothing else could.

The ghosts of the past and the people standing between Cihan and Alya have either fallen, been humbled, or ate near complete exposure.

Perhaps this separation is not fate tearing them apart, but removing the final obstacles neither of them could overcome on their own.

The fear of abandonment. The fear of loss. The belief that love must always be paid for with sacrifice exhausted Cihan and Alya until they could barely stand.

They would have kept on fighting but like they say, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. They're both human at the end of the day.

The first bloody wedding brought them together without their knowledge. Perhaps the second is clearing the path for them to truly be together without any past burdens or fears.
