Talk host @KOAColorado (Denver) M-F 6AM-9AM MT, dad, husband, trader, world traveler. pro-liberty & chocolate. Not GOP, not Dem. And no, It's not for Vladimir.
so let's get this straight: Trump can block any legislation in order to grandstand over a bill that cannot pass but his minions in the House have to play nice? https://t.co/rtFJ3qKlPn
@JWP303@LindseyGrahamSC I like Johnson and McConnell and Cotton better than you do. They have good moments. Cruz does too but there's something so unlikeable about the guy...
Seriously, @LindseyGrahamSC is saying that if Iran keeps misbehaving, the US will take over the Strait of Hormuz AND CHARGE FEES?
Lindsey Graham is trying to surpass Josh Hawley as the worst Republican in the Senate.
Since no Republican is going to win any statewide race in Colorado this year, as I think about the @cologop primary race for governor, I think that a Barb Kirkmeyer victory (less likely but not impossible) would give Republicans hope to win a couple of close down-ballot elections that will go to Dems if Victor Marx is the GOP nominee. And if Victor is the nominee (more likely), I'll take the opportunity to bet a lot of money on the GOP losing the governor's race by a wide margin. Making lemons out of lemonade...

If you are thinking about voting in the Democratic Primary in Colorado (whether because your a Dem or unaffiliated) and haven't voted yet, listen to our interviews for the governor's race:
@SenatorBennet joins the show at 8:04 AM tomorrow (Thurs 6/25) and COAG @pweiser Phil Weiser is at 7:04 AM Friday.

@TrumpTruthOnX Even if 19 "millions" barrels of oil went through Hormuz yesterday (which I doubt is true), it's not close to a record. It's below the 2025 daily average, in fact.
I am so sick of this idiocy. Do you have any idea what percent of the total income tax revenue received by the federal government comes from the top 1%? Bernie is not talking sense. When it comes to economics in particular, he is an absolute moron and you should not let him turn you into one
I don't conflate the Iranian national soccer team with the regime. Obviously, those guys can't say anything about the regime, at least if they don't support it. So with that in mind, congratulations to Iran for earning a draw (in America we'd call that a tie) against the favored Belgium team. @FIFAWorldCup
I think that theory would be more plausible if it were clear that President Trump were committed to Israel's right to self-defense at this moment. That seems to have changed somewhat. So I think that Israel trying to sabotage the whole thing, while they would probably want to, would come at too high a risk.
The news today of a significant flare-up of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah is throwing a wrench into negotiations between the US and Iran. That was likely Iran's intent all along.
How did @realdonaldtrump lose the #IranWar so comprehensively and grow so spineless that Iran has the leverage to insist that Israel not defend itself against a terrorist organization? How did Trump lose so badly and become so afraid that he's willing to protect the same organization that killed 241 American Marines in the barracks bombing in Beirut in 1983?
With the incredible and disgusting rise of antisemitism in the US in the last few years -- on the left and the right -- it's quite smart of Iran (that has a long-standing goal of destroying Israel) to not only try to get Trump to go along with protecting Hezbollah by restraining Israel, but then also to make sure that Hezbollah keeps attacking so that Iran can then call of negotiations with the US and blame Israel and try to turn Trump against Israel (which seems to have happened a little bit lately already.) Blaming Israel for a pause or breakdown in negotiations is aimed at turning more of the American public against Israel. It’s a transparent tactic and one that the American president should not be abetting.
Israel finds itself more and more isolated as politicians and idiots are manipulated by enemies of the civilized world into opposing the only tolerant democracy in that entire region.
If Trump had any spine left, he would have told Iran that the Israel/Hezbollah situation will not be part of any US-Iran deal.
At this point, we're being told that some parts of the deal framework remain secret. Let's hope that they're better than the complete US capitulation that we've learned about so far.
And let's be clear about something so the many idiot antisemites (who pretend to be "anti-Zionist", as if they even know what that means or as if there's a functional difference these days) understand: There is no "genocide" and no "apartheid." Israel has offered the Palestinians "land for peace" repeatedly and the Palestinians always turn it down because they hate Jews more than they love life or peace. It is frequently and correctly said that if the Palestinians threw away their weapons, there would be peace; and if the Israelis threw away their weapons, there would be millions of dead and the destruction of a nation. The fact that any Americans, especially elected officials, favor the "Palestinians" (arguably not even a real category of people) have turned against the only liberal democracy in the region and in favor of groups that want Americans dead shows a moral rot in this nation that is reminiscent of the 1930s (in the US and in Germany, though I'm not saying I expect the US to turn into Germany.) You can debate all you want about how much the US should aid Israel financially (which is really militarily; we don't give them cash as far as I know), but it's critical to understand that these Iranian proxy terrorist organizations pose threats beyond just to Israel. It is manifestly in the interest of the entire civilized world for Hezbollah to be destroyed and yet Trump has been manipulated into protecting them.
The inclusion within the US-Iran deal of terms protecting one of the world's worst terrorist organizations represents (along with other aspects of the deal) the biggest failure of President Trump.
That's kind of funny. Clearly you don't know anything about me. And all I'm saying about your memory is that you seem to have absorbed a legend about Khrushchev saying something that he never actually said. I'm sure you're not the only one but you might be at least interested to know that there's no evidence he said the thing you claim you remember him saying.
@elonmusk Yes, but let's also be clear that as reprehensible as that policy is, it only applies to city elections. Not state, not federal. (And, in addition to illegal aliens, it would also allow legal aliens, green card holders, DACA recipients, etc, to vote in LA city election.)
