Today took courage.

By speaking openly about his battle with depression, @CongressmanKean showed that real strength isn't pretending everything is fine, it's having the courage to ask for help and to share your story so others know they are not alone.

Mental illness doesn't discriminate. It affects people from every background, every profession, and every walk of life. Too often, the stigma keeps people suffering in silence. Congressman Kean's willingness to speak publicly today about his experience helps break down that stigma and reminds others that seeking treatment is a sign of strength, not weakness.
