The Rotary Cub of Colchester offer our members the opportunity to make a difference. Through volunteering coupled with social events we have fun helping others.
On Thursday, Rotary Club of Colchester handed over the keys of the new van for the Food Bank @colchfbank which was bought with donations to our sponsored group walk earlier this year. Many thanks to our generous donors and to the Food Bank for their great work.

This week our Rotary meeting heard an inspiring talk by the CEO of @Wheelpower about the fantastic work they do to encourage paraplegic people to engage in sport to change their lives. A wonderful #charity based at Stoke Mandeville. Keep up the good work!
Colchester Rotary helps Mary’s Meals! Our Virtual Christmas Lunch raised £345 to provide meals for children in disadvantaged countries and this will be matched by the Government. The attached email to shows how much it means to the children it helps. Great work by Mary’s Meals!
The Play Santa Appeal at Fenwick enabled Colchester Rotary to give toys for Social Services to distribute to needy families at Christmas. Many thanks to the generosity of Fenwick and the people of Colchester for contributing and buying extra toys to make this possible.
Fantastic result! Colchester Rotatarians raised over £4700 for the Colchester Food Bank to replace its old van. We virtually walked 1700 miles to Germany and Holland then round the edges of England. Thanks to our very generous sponsors, many more needy people can be fed.
Congratulations to Matthew Swan of Colchester Rotary Club for his award of the British Empire Medal for services to charities! Well done Matthew!
Many thanks also to the many people who have supported his work and helped the lives of so many in difficult circumstances.
Our Rotary Club teamed up with KidsOut to provide Christmas presents for survivors of domestic violence living in refuges Children were given boxes of new toys and games to enjoy over the festive season. See attached for more
