Average college players spend 3,000 hours on their game in 4 years. Only 4% of that is spent on actual game play. You need mental & physical stamina, toughness & a willingness to work regardless of success or playing time. You have to love the process of what it takes to compete!
Or…. And here me out on this one… they could focus on playing baseball and winning games? It’s not like they’re making it difficult for the pride people to watch a game? They just want to keep it to baseball? Remember when baseball was just baseball?
If you’re a college baseball guy starting the season, enjoy every part of it. Every game, at bat, bus ride, all of it. You only get to play this game for so long, don’t waste it by putting pressure on yourself to “perform”. Be you. Because most of the time that’s enough.
