@Anita_Sheer@CASOSVote This is not correct. For profit businesses can accept donations, in this case “students” of the dance studio bought tickets to a show. They got something in exchange for their money. What they can not do, is claim any sort of tax deduction.
@Anita_Sheer@FlamencoCAS Anita see this FCAS is the non profit I (Yvette) formed. So I would appreciate you delete where you blast my little studio under 40 students trying to make it in 2022 after 14 months shut down from COVID doing a show to offer the students something in return for wanting to help.
@Anita_Sheer@CASOSVote You know how hard we work & how many free events we do for promotion within the community.
Furthermore I am the founder of a local flamenco non profit (not associated or affiliated in any way to my business). So if you have further issues or claims please message me
@Anita_Sheer@CASOSVote No one is pocketing any money. I work very hard to promote flamenco in Southern California. I dedicate myself completely to the art form. So I would like to ask you to please remove this post blasting my dance studio. Especially if you are in the flamenco community.
@Anita_Sheer@CASOSVote So I offered them a show which cost over $1200 to put on for them. You know how much flamenco artists charge for shows. Plus I provided tapas for the event as well. So I still spent over $2500 out of pocket redoing the floors that winter.
@Anita_Sheer@CASOSVote Also we don’t have donors or volunteers. We have dedicated students who see how much I work. Not only teaching classes but putting on recitals, community shows plus I personally do all the upkeep and repairs for the facility. They want to help and contribute.
@Anita_Sheer@CASOSVote The dance studio a for profit business. These funds have for over 20 years come out of my pockets. This time students wanted to donate and help and I offered a show so that they’d get something fun from their donations. I don’t understand your hostility?

@sbonnin That’s exactly why we aren’t able to open our indoor business, because people have no regards for others!!!! SB county had almost 200 new cases yesterday we are supposed to be down to 4 or fewer cases per day to be able to open, at this rate.... when will that be.
