A little Ceuta prose this morning:

The rain in Spain stays mainly in the plain,
Yet in Ceuta it carries a different refrain—
Feces and garbage, piled high in the drains
Since the summer influx and the camps on the plains.

Plastic and bottles, wet wipes in the flow,
Washed to the beaches where the foul odors go.
Stormwater channels turned into latrines,
Now the downpour delivers them out to the sea.
