@Mslexia The Choice by Edith Eger is such a powerful book, both as a memoir and an inspirational study on mental well-being. Currently reading her new book The Gift and it is just as brilliant.
@Mslexia The Haunting (1963 version) because Julie Harris and Claire Bloom were so amazing and, like the book, it is both genuinely scary and a moving portrayal of loneliness.
@MichaelRosenYes Back Home by Michelle Magorian, when I was in year 6 in the early 90s. I loved it so much I brought my own copy and reread it many times.
@MurrayLYoung@BBC6Music @shaunwkeaveny Single mum HS my 7 y o, I like being more involved in his learning. A description of a beach turned into an epic story about ghost ships and duplicitous mermaids! Buying printing ink, paper, etc, on top of extra food is making things expensive.
