How ironic that the strongman who built a legacy on bypassing due process now wants it for himself – a right that Duterte denied from the thousands brutally slain in his bloody drug war.

May these words cripple those who caused this. May they echo in the silence of our fear, reminding us of the cost of staying silent. May they haunt us as a nation that never learns, where justice is scarcest for those who cannot fight back
A really eye opening moment for young me was hearing a labor organizer ask, “If capital can cross borders, why can’t labor?” It was such a simple encapsulation of the ethical & moral problematics of eschewing migrants, while creating the economic crises that led to migration.
This woman did a hard thing and the worst people are making fun of her because they don't know what a PhD is. Studying fascinating but under-explored subjects is a good thing. Those who demean her betray their own ignorance and lack of curiosity.
