This morning I attended the @GISDArts “Young People’s Concert”. The @GarlandSymphony performed for about 3,500 students from across the district- everything from an Aladdin Medley to the Washington Post March. So much fun!

At Tuesday’s Council Meeting, a contract was awarded to complete the restrooms at Lakeside Park. This was the last outstanding item from the 2015 bond. I’m so excited to see it being finalized!! #ParksandRecreation

Tonight City Council adopted an ordinance changing the truck route ordinance, removing Rowlett Rd and a short section of Miller Rd between Rowlett Rd and PGBT. This change will improve safety for homeowners adjacent to Rowlett Rd who regularly use that roadway to commute.
