I took a drink of water, allowed my social battery to fill back up, and then moved on to the next client.
The clients came in back to back, but instead of choosing to get stressed, I moved forward with the intention to make them feel welcomed.
Then I remembered that I'm allowed to feel upset, but I didn't need to hold on to it for the rest of the day.
I took a deep breath, identified the emotion I was experiencing, and just like that, it went away.
(Our emotions just want to be seen.)
I could tell by the way the dude spoke to me, that he may have been nervous, or possibly anxious.
After our interaction, I felt myself getting pissed off...like who TF did he think he was, raising his voice at me?
I thought to myself, 'Is this how my day is gonna go?'
Wanting fast fitness results is common, but it's important to make tiny promises to yourself and hold up to them. Building confidence through commitment keeps you going. #AccountabilityMatters
6000 posts per day!!
Each post forces your brain to do 3 things:
1. Judge.
The second you see a post your brain is forced to decide is this relevant, do I like this, worth my time, worth a heart, comment or share.
2. Compare/contrast/debate.
How does this measure up to me, my thoughts, my beliefs?
3. Distract from your day. Obviously.
This is why we have so much distraction, judgment and division/misery in the world…
Every swipe/scroll is conditioning YOU to be more judgmental and there is zero you can do to limit that conditioning …except limit your scrolling.
So, @elonmusk and @Twitter limiting you to viewing 6000 posts just improved the worlds mental health. Thanks E!!
@BrendonBurchard Thank you for sharing such beautiful qualities about him. I'm sending condolences to you, his family, and anyone else affected by such a great loss. Thank you for sharing your heart, Brendon.
@nickdotht Lol call ME crazy, but I assigned a gender to it, asked him if he didn't mind me calling him ChatG, and thanked him for his neutral and unbiased recommendations.
I actually got sad when there was an error and that conversation got deleted.
Introspection note:
Managing my emotions, particularly my anger, is a constant battle for me.
But I'm determined to learn from them so they don't control me or harm those around me.
Instead of suppressing them, I learn to express them effectively and solidify my boundaries.
