So, for the first time in over a year, I am back on X / Twitter or whatever.
My other social media is so twisted by algorithms that my information bubble is close to bursting.
I really feel sorry for our colonial cousins.
Truly, the inmates have taken over the asylum.
@procurementfile@WokeWaste Pardon me because my maths are poor, but 15 x 85k (starting price of a Porche Taycan) = more than 500K. The British embassy must have got a heck of a discount.
@martinsisaac10 He would be there on his own.
When I served my life expectancy on the eastern front, it was less than 30 seconds. That was told to me at the recruiting office (when we had them).
@jomickane I, for one, believe. Ex British forces, and we are the aggressors here. Yes, if the Chinese set a missile base on the isle of white, I would be the first to target the installations. You don't pish through someone's letter box without reprisal.
@Gettingcontext Well done to the Irish.
At least they have never invaded anyone.
Now, if Biden only listened to those in the US of Irish descent, things would be a good deal better.
@gpdixon@AmesTaylor_DA It was on the Beeb this morning. A reporter was in the grid control room telling us how this was a national resource and how its location is secret. The dog tag on the bulletin said live and gave the location!
Good old BBC reporting.
@AmesTaylor_DA Excuse me, but did I not see an article on the Beeb this morning saying the National Grid had been taken back into public ownership for 650M?
So now all the profit from the standing charge goes back into govt coffers?
Time folk started getting angry.
I'm just thinking out loud. If Israel can put explosives in thousands of pagers in Lebanon, what else are they capable of?
It's not long since Pegasus software was found in German Govt mobiles.

@PaulOzNo1 I'm one of the stupid ones who hoped things might get better. Fool me once!
Tomorrow, I'm back to investigating the hedge fund operated bailiff companies.
Regards, mate.
@iwaslabour@simonmaginn@PhilipProudfoot I remember when Osbourne sold the first student loan book to Blackrock for 20p, in the pound, and then told us it was a great deal for the taxpayers.
Oh, and his advisor on the deal was Nathan Rothchild.
He even backed up the deal with guaranteed profits.
Yes, there have been mistakes made. Our military interventions as well as political manoeuvres have added to the migrant crisis. We have done little to stop the building of ghettos.
Our education and information systems are biased and flawed.
I don't know whether or not to cry or get angry.
When folk ask my political stance I tell them I am to the left of Ghengis Khan and to the left of Stalin.
18 years part time military service and ready to go defend (attack) what ever my government told me.
Then I grew
Can't get my rant to post.
Let's just say I am ashamed at the behaviour of those who call themselves my countrymen.
Flag shaggers the lot of them!
Most never did an honest day in thier lives.

💥The Post Office scandal extends “greatly beyond” faulty Horizon software, according to a leading Lawyer for victims.💥
Paul Marshall, representing former Sub-Postmasters, says problems with 3rd party systems in branches, such as ATMs, have been "overlooked".
Barrister Paul Marshall believes, as a result, there are "no convictions" secured by the Post Office against any sub-postmaster "that could or should properly be treated as safe".
A 2013 report commissioned by the Post Office, and not made public at the time, states:
"Removing the ATM reduces the risk of (the sub-postmaster) being suspended... as does the presence of lottery tickets, (banking) services, and DVLA processing."
It indicates there were issues known to the Post Office with 3rd party systems within branches - separate to Horizon software.

Every Tory MP who lost their seat last Thursday will still be on full pay for the next four months. The 3000 workers facing redundancy at Tata Steel won't be so lucky.
@MichaelAD_Unite Exactly. You need real-life experience before throwing your hat in the ring. Otherwise, you are just another career politician.
Yet another case of stifled potential.
