Brilliant, @UPS! After 30 minutes of waiting, I get an automated callback. "UPS is currently closed ..." WTF? Why did you call me back to tell me that? Or, more to the point, why is your online system broken such that I have to speak to an agent to resolve my problem? #FAIL
.@grynbaum Disappointed to see @nytimes use a misnomer of the radical right intended to promote bigotry. There is no such thing as a "preferred pronoun". All people have proper pronouns; those who respect others use them and do not misgender anyone. https://t.co/IasvKxddpR
@WasteManagement Thank you. Start to finish, including phone tree and waiting on hold, I got my problem taken care of in 9 minutes. That is reasonable. Why is it impossible to find that number on your website? (And why did the chat support person vanish?)
.@WasteManagement It sucks that the only way to interact with your support is via chat, but it's even worse that the person I was chatting with vanished. After spending an hour(!) and having 30 minutes(!) elapse after the last interaction, I gave up. How do I TALK to somebody?!
MAGA Republicans said Kamala Harris didn’t have experience to be President even though she was a prosecutor, DA, AG, US Senator and Vice President.
Now they are cheering on a Fox Propaganda host for being nominated to lead the Pentagon.
It was always about racism and sexism.
“I say all of this not in anger, but in deep and profound sorrow. For centuries, the United States has been a beacon of democracy and reasoned self-government, in part because the Framers understood the dangers of demagogues and saw fit to construct a system with safeguards to keep such men from undermining it, and because our people and their leaders, out of respect for the common good and the people of this country, adhered to its rules and norms. The system was never perfect, but it inched toward its own betterment, albeit in fits and starts. But in the end, the system the Framers set up—and indeed, all constitutional regimes, however well designed—cannot protect a free people from themselves.”
The View's Sunny Hostin suggests that employers remove the "convicted felon" disclosure requirement from employment forms, since it became clear that a convicted felon can be elected President.
She's 100% correct.
@ProjectLincoln If Donald Trump refuses to accept that he lost in 2020, then he cannot take the oath of office in 2025, per the 22nd Amendment: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice". He must admit to the world that he lost!
I will forever remain deeply ashamed of having supported the winning presidential candidate in 2016.
But I shall always be extremely proud of having supported the losing candidate in 2024.
Trae Crowder explains BRILLIANTLY to Trump supporters why they shouldn't be spiking the football for voting against their own self-interests.
If you only watch ONE video today, make it this one.
“Daddy?”
Yes Johnny?
“King Trump deported my friends, closed my school, forced me to work in a factory and let mommy die when she was pregnant with my little sister, so why did you vote for him?”
“Because the price of eggs was too high, son.”
Two of the most qualified women in the country ran for president against an unqualified, racist game show host who had a history of committing fraud and sexual abuse. And the country was basically split 50-50. That should tell us some things.
