More Filipinos identify themselves as supporters of the Dutertes and their allies than any other political group, according to the June 2026 WR National Poll: Philippine Public Opinion Monitor released on July 31 by WR Numero Research, the polling and survey research arm of WR Advisory Group.

The survey, conducted among 1,432 male and female respondents aged 18 and above, asked participants how they would describe their political support.

Results showed that 37% identified themselves as supporters of the Dutertes and their allies.

18% said they support the Marcoses and their allies, while 20% identified as supporters of the opposition, including Leni Robredo, Risa Hontiveros, Bam Aquino, and their allies.

Meanwhile, 24% said they do not identify with any of the listed political groups, while 2% refused to answer.

The NPA is a serious problem.

Without the NPA, the government wouldn't have to spend billions on counter-insurgency operations. Those resources could instead be invested in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other public services that directly benefit all Filipinos.

Unfortunately, the NPA exists. Therefore, the government has to address the security threat while also reducing the factors that allow the group to recruit and sustain support.

This is where the OVP's programs come in. By bringing medicines, food, and other basic assistance to people in far-flung barangays and last-mile schools, these initiatives seek to address immediate needs in communities that have often been underserved.
