For victim-survivors attempting to escape DV, sexual abuse, or coercive control, and keep their child safe, ABDUCTION IS A PROTECTIVE ACT.
The use of the #HagueAbductionConvention in such cases enables further abuse. State-sanctioned.

Great to attend @CALA_org online last night on how Art13b has changed since Re:E in 2011. Heartening to hear it’s now unacceptable to return victims without enforceable protection orders. In our view research is needed on how effective this is in the longer term.

This film shines a light on the cracks in our broken asylum system in 🇬🇧 So many survivors of persecution and violence are falling through these cracks & it’s very sad the system lacks the kindness to care. The new bill must be stopped!
