This is madness.
We have ONE MILLION young people who are NEETs, graduates crying out for a job and yet the government wants to pay to bring foreigners here.
Why can’t we invest in our own and put the British people first?
Does the Northern Ireland Secretary really not think that attempting to behead someone in the street is alien to our culture?
Why do they insist on not seeing what is plain as day to the rest of us?
Er - A 5 year old likely knows the kind of ‘alien culture’ that Jim refers to here.
The fact our politicians pretend not to know and/or be more concerned by the words, sums up a massive problem with our politics and is a large part of the reason we are in the mess we currently are…

Jim Allister: "What will be done to stop the importation of an alien culture that thinks it's appropriate to try and behead someone?"
Hilary Benn: "I'm sorry the honourable gentleman used the term 'alien culture', because what exactly is he referring to?"
Matt Goodwin and Labour MP Samantha Niblett Get Into a Heated Row on Politics Live
The row erupted over the push to compel people to use “they/them” pronouns and the broader issue of compelled speech.
Niblett tried to defend it by claiming we already use they/them” for a single person, saying “they’re outside.”
That’s a weak argument. When we know someone’s sex, we naturally say “he’s outside” or “she’s outside.”
The plural “they” works fine for unknown or mixed groups, but stretching it into mandatory singular usage for biological males or females is not organic language evolution, it’s enforced ideology.
When she couldn’t counter Matt’s point about compelled speech and the lack of scientific basis, she resorted to the classic cheap shot: accusing him of being “condescending.”
It’s a transparent deflection. She knows the position is weak, so she attacks the tone instead of the substance.
The push to compel everyone to use “they/them” pronouns is ridiculous. No one should be forced to rewrite basic English grammar to affirm someone else’s ideology.
These invented rules don’t clarify communication, they confuse it, especially for children who are still learning how language works.
Hard not to think this @UKLabour government hates Britain, as it systematically destroys everything that made this country what it is
So many of our industries closing. So many ancient schools closing. So many pubs closing
There's going to be nothing left by 2029
So while farmers get punished over cow burp emissions, the greenhouse gas emissions of AI data centres have not been included in the Scottish Government’s analysis of the impact of data centres on Scotland’s climate targets, according to analysis by environmental charity APRS.
We are having community fire stations closed in Wiltshire which I presume is happening country wide while money is spent on this. Lives will be lost. The fire service needs to concentrate on fighting fires. Police- apply the law; equality. Stop all of this 👇🏼
Keir Starmer is preparing to cut spending on Net Zero projects such as carbon capture and storage to pay for an increase in defence spending, prompting another rift with Ed Miliband.
The PM should scrap Net Zero altogether and sack his Energy Secretary if he wants to save money.
You’re not trying to protect children.
You’re going to ban them from any news source except state approved propaganda until they are sixteen.
Then once you have brainwashed them for their entire young life, you are going to give them the vote.
Chairman Mao would be proud.
After years of economic crises, rising borrowing, higher spending and repeated failures to reduce the debt burden, the consequences are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore
With £650m added to the bill each day, economists warn an IMF bailout is no longer remote ⤵️

Further to what I wrote in this piece Trevor Phillips has since made two really excellent points:
1. Starmer’s comments about George Floyd were made even BEFORE the trial had taken place. This is fascinating - by comparison JD Vance waited until after the the conviction and sentencing. Should Starmer - the lawyer and Mr Proper Process - not have known better than to risk prejudicing the George Floyd/Derek Chauvin trial?
2. Lammy used THE VERY SAME WORDS as Vance - defending “righteous anger” - in commenting on George Floyd. And yet Lammy and co have the audacity to hypocritically criticise Vance for daring to give this opinion

Javier Milei: “I thought being on the left was a mental problem. The empirical evidence is so overwhelming that it never worked anywhere, and they refused to accept it.”
“But what I discovered is that being on the left is a disease of the soul. The left is built on envy, hatred, resentment, and unequal treatment under the law. They are very violent, and since they have no way or arguments to answer, they go for physical violence.”
STEEL SCANDAL DUE TO NET ZERO!
Huge delays to Tata’s Port Talbot Electric Arc Furnace…. Utterly foreseeable, claiming power issues….I fear it will never open. Thousands of jobs have been destroyed due to Net Stupid Zero.
I will demand answers in the Commons as there is a steel debate tomorrow!
The government has not got a single thing worth having out of the EU in this "reset" negotiation. It's one concession after another.
It's an absolute shocker.
The reason is, of course, they aren't trying. They just want to tie us to the EU & they don't care what it costs.
This is a nonsense. Of course removing the pride flag and foreign flags from our council buildings isn’t the totality of Reform transformation, but it sets a marker; a marker that says our priorities will be your priorities. Not those of a trans-obsessed cult or on foreign lands.
This is the strongest Lammy could come up with, “we were in opposition”.
Pathetic, it’s clear that Lammy knows full well it’s hypocritical to criticise JD Vance for speaking on Henry Nowak when Starmer did the same for George Floyd.
