@squirrelCarol@jannarden@CBCNews@CTVNews Same here. Switched from CBC to Lisa a few years ago and now a television news orphan. Will watch French-language newscasts now.
@EveCatherine_ Aberrant. Comme quoi il est toujours possible d’invoquer, voire de créer, des principes de droit tant à l’appui d’une vise que de son contraire. Law of the land? Whatever the current Supreme Court says it is at that particular moment.
@Strandjunker@michaelroseman5 Catholic Church here in Canada has not denied communion to our Catholic prime ministers, even though they have been mostly pro choice since the seventies.
@piva_jonas @JulieSLalonde I’ve lived here all my life. Beginning with the tulip festival and throughout the summer, there are generally more tourists on the Hill than protesters. This may be about to change, quite unfortunately. The freedom protesters are a different breed altogether.
@qcgnthompson Not true. Way more English is Montreal and Gatineau than in the 80s and 90s. English will never be in danger anywhere in North America. Quebeckers only want to avoid becoming like the Cajuns in Louisiana where French is all but extinct.
