This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.

@smerconish you are missing the real debate on Platner. The real question we need to answer is why there aren’t incentives for talented and good people to be public servants. Until we solve this we are stuck with ‘lesser evil’ choices
Wow, this is quite damning for Donald Trump regarding the Epstein files:
@Rep_Walkinshaw: "I want to share one piece of information, one question that the former Attorney General did answer. She was asked specifically about Donald Trump, President Trump's awareness of Epstein's crimes before they became public knowledge. She had the opportunity to say Donald Trump certainly wasn't aware of those crimes. She had the opportunity to say, I know Donald Trump and if he was aware of those crimes, he would have done something. Instead, she said, I don't know. She also said, quote, this is a direct quote, 'I'm not certain of the extent of his knowledge.' I think that's a perfect example as to why we need Pam Bondi under oath in a real deposition for the camera so the American people can see and hear her answers to our questions."
The sitting president of the United States sent lawyers from our department of justice to make sure our former Attorney General didn’t answer any questions about his potential involvement in a child sex trafficking ring.
But sure, nothing to see here, right?
Now we know why trump still hasn’t been able to open the Straight of Hormuz.
It’s because, in the cognitively impaired mind of trump, Iran cleverly has the only Schrödinger military in the world: it exists and it doesn’t exist all at the same time.
This is Ken Paxton's mugshot.
He was indicted on 3 felony counts for investment fraud.
He was reported to the FBI by his own staff for bribery.
He was impeached by his own party for corruption.
Now he’s the Republican nominee for US Senate in Texas.
Together we will stop him.
@tedlieu@DAGToddBlanche@LeaderJohnThune you will face moral reckoning if you confirm Blanche. He is a criminal for ignoring the law of the land, and protecting pedophiles, rapists, and murderers named in the Epstein files.
@SpeakerJohnson We can't elect liars like @SpeakerJohnson - their is no greater grifter then little-d donald j trump... his fraud is killing the American worker, and farmer.
