The main temple of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra is the Dormition Cathedral.

🚨 BREAKING: Russian strike hits the historic Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a world-famous Orthodox monastery and UNESCO site, igniting fire on the roof of the Dormition Cathedral.
A young victim of Russia's overnight attack on Dnipro was a 3-year-old boy.
Rescuers recovered his body from beneath the rubble of a four-story apartment building destroyed by a Russian strike.
A child who should have had his whole life ahead of him.
My deepest condolences to his family.
Every child killed by Russia is a tragedy that cannot be undone.
Last night, Russia launched more than 600 drones and over 70 missiles of various types against the civilian population of Ukraine.
Kyiv was under attack throughout the night. Four people are dead and over 60 injured, including three children. In Dnipro, six people were killed and another 36 injured. In Kharkiv region, there are at least 14 people wounded, including a child. Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions were also targeted.
My deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those killed.
Russia continues to demonstrate that its objective is to terrorize civilians. These were deliberate attacks on residential neighborhoods, hospitals, schools, and critical civilian infrastructure.
I thank our air defense forces for protecting lives under these extremely difficult conditions. I am also grateful to the rescuers, medics, police officers, and utility workers who have been working all night, saving people, clearing rubble, restoring services, and helping communities recover.
Ukraine urgently needs additional air defense systems and interceptors. Every delay costs lives.
Some of my cute creatures from over the years! Although I mainly work in environments/props/vehicles I’ve always thought of myself as a generalist concept artist - I’ll post some spooky creatures next time :))

Overnight, there was another massive Russian attack on Ukraine’s civilian population, leaving several people dead and wounded.
In Kyiv, two people were killed and 56 injured, including children. Residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged, a shopping center was destroyed, apartment buildings were hit, along with the National Chornobyl Museum and a post office.
In the Kyiv region, two people were killed and nine injured. Residential buildings, a business, warehouses, an educational facility, three apartment buildings, and eight private houses were damaged.
In Cherkasy, 11 people were injured after a UAV struck an apartment building, including two children.
I thank all the men and women of our emergency services – rescuers, medical workers, utility crews, energy workers, and law enforcement officers – for their tireless efforts.
Russia is deliberately attacking civilian sites in an attempt to intimidate us. But Ukraine will endure, and Russia will be held accountable for its terror.
Putin wanted to show “strength” but only confirmed his weakness.
Overnight, Russia carried out one of the largest terrorist attacks on Kyiv with around 600 drones, many dozens of ballistic, air-ballistic, and cruise missiles, and a dummy IRBM.
Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, and Zhytomyr regions were also under attack.
As of now, at least two civilian people have been reported killed and many dozens injured. These numbers may grow. Many residential buildings have been damaged.
Unable to achieve any results on the battlefield, Putin turns to terror against civilians.
This strike was probably meant to demonstrate “strength” to the domestic audience, but instead it only confirms Putin’s weakness. Even Russians see that he is a loser.
His “special operation” is not achieving any results. Losses are enormous, but there is not a single achieved goal. Except that there are no safe places in Russia any more, as Ukraine ramps up its special long-range sanctions.
To our allies, I want to say this: it is time to double down, not back down, in supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on the Russian regime.
We call for additional defense capabilities, including to protect our sky; investment in our defense industry; increased pressure on Russia, including entry ban for Russian combatants, full use of frozen assets; strong political decisions with regard to Ukraine’s EU accession and other steps.
The world has the leverage. It needs to be used right — to show Moscow that such strikes will not bring any results — and force Russia to end this war.
Russia: Don’t attack the Moscow parade, or we’ll attack Kyiv.
Ukraine: Ok, no attack, have your parade.
Russia, a few days later: attacks residential buildings in Kyiv while people are sleeping, killing 1, injuring 23.
I wish I could write more… but the video speaks for itself. Morning in the city of Dnipro right now. This is not what you would want to see this Saturday morning, but unfortunately, this is the reality of life in Ukraine, and there are very few positive moments. Every morning in some city, someone either hasn’t woken up at all, or is waiting for rescuers while trapped in a destroyed apartment, or is standing next to their home... watching their whole life go down the drain.
The aftermath of the nighttime shelling of the city. Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions were also under attack. However, Dnipro suffered the most tonight.

People who have escaped the city say it has been almost completely destroyed, while residents live in constant fear under Russian control, facing abductions and killings.
