Exactly this. When @parkrunUK removed the records they were canvassed by 1000s of competitive men, so they returned them back in on the app. Of course lots run just for fun but many run for times, records & places. Women deserve that right too.

Parkrun is fun and also a way to measure your performance against others, providing motivation to improve and get fitter. Only women are expected to forgo this benefit, prioritise the 'fun' and not bother about men taking female records and bumping them down the placings.

The sex of the person who had the idea for #RealityRulesRunnersUK really doesn’t matter!
This running club is and will always be a collective effort. The decisions are made by a large group of people (mostly women) and is supported by (SURPRISE!) mostly women.
