This is a Jordanian lawyer, a woman, who says on national TV that religion comes before the law, and that honor killing is natural and the family’s right.

This is one of the things we at IDI @idicenter are trying to explain to American officials.

There’s a gap between the written laws and the tyranny of public opinion in Islamic countries.

For example, when an Islamic country writes into its law that all citizens are equal, that law doesn’t reflect the reality of life for non-Muslims.

There is not one single Islamic country where non-Muslims have the same rights as Muslims. Zero. None.
