@PeterMcQuilla11@DefiantLs They are both at fault. I’m not sure of the jurisdiction in the video, but it is generally illegal to come to a sudden stop on a highway except for emergencies, accidents, or lawful compliance.
@RealCoffeeChoco@EsotericCD Here is a comparison I found of Wilson’s translation side by side with other translations. I’m not sure if this is indicative of the entire translation, but if it is then I understand why people have issues with it.
@kalfan1@fuseboxx7@deusimpera Before we shift to a different topic, your own infographic has the gospel of Matthew written in the 70s AD, so are you conceding that it could have been written in the apostle Matthew’s lifetime and within living memory of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus?
@kalfan1@mtmelendres@fuseboxx7@deusimpera Academics are split. The majority believe it was written in the 80s AD. A large minority believe it was the 70s AD. Not many believe it was written after 90 AD (not sure where you got 98 AD). Even in the 80s AD, Matthew could have still been alive, perhaps in his 70s or 80s.
@kalfan1@mtmelendres@fuseboxx7@deusimpera What history are you reading? The crucifixion was in around 30 AD. The earliest Gospel (Mark) was written around 60 AD. That is only 30 years after the crucifixion. Matthew was written around 70 AD, only 40 years after the crucifixion.
@kalfan1@mtmelendres@fuseboxx7@deusimpera We don’t know exactly when Matthew was born, but he probably was about the same age or a little younger than Jesus, so in his late 20s or early 30s at the time of the crucifixion, which means he was in his late 60s or early 70s when the Gospel of Matthew was probably written.
@kalfan1@mdwfmom@deusimpera The author of the Gospel of Matthew is anonymous, but the early church attributed its authorship to the apostle Matthew, who died is the latter half of the 1st century, around the time the Gospel was written. It is possible that Matthew was the author.
@kalfan1@mdwfmom@deusimpera Matthew 9:9-13: As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called Matthew, sitting in the tax collector's booth; and He said to him, “Follow Me!” And he got up and followed Him.
@Robdawg2017@FloridaWhigs@BeholdPaleH0rse It’s improbable, but not impossible. You know what is impossible? For Florida to score if Gunnar goes down at the 1 yard line and Georgia kneels the ball to run out the clock.
@jvgraz@RumHtwn@zielony_kvas@seamus_coughlin You guarantee that you’ve studied the Bible more extensively, in more languages, and in more academic settings than others in this thread, but you don’t even know when it was written.
@Sharif_ibn_ade @iambrendanryan@GarbageHuman24 Yeah, it’s simply not true, this is just AI slop that misinterpreted a study that found black women significantly outpace black men in obtaining degrees in higher education.
