In the late 1980s, McDonnell Douglas tested the GE36 propfan on an MD-80. It combined the fuel efficiency of a turboprop with the speed of a jet and proved the concept could work. But with fuel prices dropping, noise concerns, and changing priorities, it never made it into airline service. Even so, the program helped shape many of the engine technologies used today.
CoHNA welcomes ACR 207: California Hindu American Awareness and Appreciation Month. The new resolution dedicates the month of October as Hindu Heritage Month, celebrating Hindu heritage and the impact of the American Hindu community in California and beyond. It also acknowledges some of the current challenges faced by the community, including the vandalism of 4 Hindu temples in the state as well as the documented rise of anti-Hindu hate.
Thank you Assembly Members @Ash_Kalra and @AsmDarshana for introducing ACR 207 and for your collaboration on this important nuanced resolution.
We look forward to seeing ACR 207 being adopted quickly and unanimously in the legislature.🙏🏿

Elon tried sleeping less to get more done. It backfired badly.
"I've tried less but my productivity, even though I'm awake more hours, I get less done. And the brain pain level is bad if I get less than six hours."
The guy running Tesla, SpaceX, X, xAI, and DOGE works 362 days a year and still hits his biological floor every night.
He figured out his threshold and stopped fighting it. That's what you call optimization.
Elon Musk: "In the next 6 to 12 months, we’ll be doing our first implants for vision, where even if somebody is completely blind, we can write directly to the visual cortex."
"Long term, you would have very high resolution and be able to see multispectral wavelengths... you could see in infrared, ultraviolet, radar. It's like a superpower situation."
Elon Musk just gave you the ultimate cheat code for life: Action > Luck.
Quit complaining about your situation. If you want the future to be good, go out there and make it good. It’s not about waiting for the right moment—it's about creating it.
The world belongs to the doers, not the dreamers.
The sanctum sanctorum of ANY place of worship is subject to rules and open only to AUTHORIZED personnel. Hindu temples all over the world welcome a wide variety of visitors and devotees. In this short video, CoHNA’s Dalit and Bahujan leaders share their own lived experiences of inclusion and acceptance in temples across the US. If New York media is interested in Dalit Bahujan voices, we encourage them to listen and find out more.
@YashicaDutt and @Hindus4HR are literally trying to deny Hindu spaces the most basic rights of access, security, and authorization. Let that sink in.
We can also see they have no knowledge of how Hindu temples work, because the inner sanctum is always reserved for those with the authority and training to enter and execute a skilled job. And yes, the job of a Hindu priest is a skilled one, requiring years of study and training.
We ask any of these caste warriors trying to paint Hindu temples as “exclusionary” for not having open access to anyone at any time - just try walking into ANY office or shop and demanding access to their inner spaces without authorization! Show up at your local tax-payer funded school and ask to sit in the chair of the school Principal for even an hour or demand to handle the trophies on display.
Try walking into your city council meeting without an invitation and demand to sit at the table reserved for councilors. Go to your local grocery store, Target or Walmart and complain if the cashier does not allow you to “touch” the cash register. Try entering a pulpit without authorization or asking to touch sacred relics in places of worship that are not Hindu.
This narrative is in line with their previous attempts to demonize Hindus and create double standards in law and policy. These fake allegations and tropes were used to build a witch hunt in California prior to the introduction of the infamous caste bill by State Senator Aisha Wahab (SB 403). Now, there is an attempt to revive and recycle those tired tropes to create a two-tier society in New York State.

@KLM our luggage has been lost for 3 days. report was created w errors... seems no way to reach a human. We filed w agent in DEL to send 2 BBI. They said yes. Locator shows 2 of 3 bags in DEL, asking us to PU. This is not possible. My Dad has important medicines in the bags.
@Wayfair Neither your virtual assistant nor your text assistance is any help. I sent a DM. No help. There is no help in canceling an order that is on back order. Worst customer service experience. I am in a black hole.
@XfinitySupport Is there any way to speak to a human? I’ve been on your virtual 6 times in two days. It’s not working for me. Would love to speak to a human. Maybe even have a technician come out. But you seem to have a firewall around such things. Just bad business model.
Dark clouds, rain, and bitterly cold temperatures could not dampen the resolve of close to 200 Hindus in the larger Minneapolis area, who came out to mourn the darkness of the #Pahalgam terror attack. CoHNA’s Minnesota chapter organized a candlelight vigil to stand in solidarity, grieve and resist the sinister act. It was more than a moment of silence — it was a demand for justice, a call for peace, and a promise that the victims will never be forgotten.
Speakers shared about their agony and fear but also their resolve to fight back. There are no words to capture the injustice, or the sheer inhumanity of an act that saw 26 men killed-singled out for being Hindu and killed in front of their families -leaving lives shattered.
But the diyas we lit were more than symbols. They are a collective promise — that we will speak out, uphold the truth, and refuse to be defined by terror. Together, let us work towards a world where such heinous acts are no more.🙏🏾
It was an honor to see Prime Minister Modi this evening. He’s a great leader and he was incredibly kind to my family.
I look forward to working under President Trump’s leadership to strengthen our friendship and cooperation with the people of India!
Usha and I extend our condolences to the victims of the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India. Over the past few days, we have been overcome with the beauty of this country and its people. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn this horrific attack.
