Family Art night at RSE also had marble painting, robot racing, family tree sculptures, printmaking, origami hearts and a glow room! It was so fun spending the evening with RSE families. @RSELions@RCSArts
Our artists are getting excited about our mini art museum! Here is a sneak peek at what it will look like. Come see the whole thing at family art night in January! @RSELions
@RCSArts@EaglevilleBands@ChoirEagleville I loved seeing the love shared for the choir and band directors from the seniors. The arts provide such a special place for kids to grow in ways they didnβt know they were capable. I am thankful Eagleville has the best directors!
RSE artists talked about what makes a great art student. We want to behave in a way that creates a safe, welcoming, and healthy environment to learn. We took a pledge(me included) to be great. Students signed their name to symbolize their commitment to being a great art student.
@RSEart_MrsGroce 100% school spirit! From the first day you stepped foot in RSE you treated it as if it had been your home/family your whole career. You are the best and we are so lucky!
More pictures from Family Art night from the basket weaving demonstration. Thanks to my mom for donating her time to share her basket weaving talent! @RSEart_MrsGroce @RSELions@RCSArts
We had a blast at our 3-5 grade Family Art night! Families could collage, paint, sculpt, do origami, and woodblock print making. Plus they could see live basket weaving demonstrations! @RSEart_MrsGroce @RSELions@RCSArts
My favorite quote of the day βit is more fun when it is challenging!β I love that attitude and mindset. A lot of problem solving happening in the art studio! @RSELions
I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to groups present their collaborative collage challenges! Students then voted on the one they felt was the most successful and that one will be displayed in the hallway! They have all done a fantastic job! @RSELions
I love that a class of fifth graders was missing a student who was absent and found a way to include her! She sat on the carpet with them, presented their collaborative artwork with them and sat in her seat! Our students are the coolest!@RSELions
I recently added signs students could place at their desk if they have a question, need support, or if they want to share their artwork. This smart girl gave the suggestion to add a sign if a student wants feedback on their artwork! I love the idea and her thinking! @RSELions
This week we opened the collage studio. We then did a Collaboration Collage Challenge! Teams worked together using the collage studio to make a βschoolβ themed artwork. Next week, we will vote on which team has the best use of materials, craftsmanship and use of theme. @RSELions
