It’s election season! Certain adult politicians could learn a lot from our stuco candidates about how to be kind while running in an election.

I just got back from an incredible two days of learning at the MO New Principals Conference! My brain is full and now I’m even more excited to start the school year!
We welcome 100+ new principals to the 25th annual New Principals' Conference, happening today & tomorrow. This event is proudly co-sponsored by @MOASSP & @MoAESP with @mlds & supported by @LindenwoodU. The focus? "Today's Instructional Leadership," led by the inspiring @RLGMike
My little brother’s kindergarten teacher is teaching in our district this year after retiring 7 years ago. She is decorating her room with a wood apple calendar my brother gifted her. For context: My brother is 28.
Teachers are the best.

Leaders:
Mingle before you mandate
Listen before you lead
Interact before you implement
Connect before you comment
Feel before you fix
Know before you notate
Ask before you act
Belong before you begin
Relate before you resolve
It's not about you, it's about others.
The last day of the 2022-2023 school year! Today was filled with some hard goodbyes but also many celebrations. This is the first summer in a long time I won’t be doing summer school. I’m very blessed to have a cute summer reading buddy ❤️
Two of my amazing teachers were awarded grants from Eyes Right Here. Our new social/emotional materials are going to help a lot of kids!
S/O to @AprilAgate who is on the Eyes Right Here board.

We had a GREAT day of SPED-focused PD today. I had a blast presenting PD on IEP Present Levels to my teams. I’m thankful to my district for giving us time to talk about IEPs and behavior and am extra thankful our teachers got a couple of hours of WORK TIME.
