The BYU record for most starts in a season is 15 by Steve Sarkisianin 1996. The last time a BYU QB started in every game in consecutive seasons was Max Hall, who actually started every game in 3 consecutive seasons from 2007-2009.

Since Kalani Sitake became head coach in 2016 there have been only 3 seasons in which the same quarterback started every game: in 2020 Zach Wilson started in all 12 games; in 2024 Jake Retzlaff started in all 13 games; last season Bear Bachmeier started in all 14 games.

In 16 weeks Kalani Sitake will begin his 11th season as BYU's head coach, tying him with Bronco Mendenhall (2005-2015) as the coach with the 2nd most years as leader of the Cougars, following Lavell Edwards' 29 years (1972-2000).

Last season Parker Kingston had 66 receptions (13th best in a BYU season) for 924 yards (25th best) which is the 2nd most under Sitake (Dax Milne had 1,188 in 2020. His 90-yd TD punt return vs KanSt in 2024 is tied for the 3rd longest in BYU history and the longest in 30 yrs
